Mabuhay saindo gabos!

The 39th Annual Convention of the Philippine Blood Coordinating Council is set to be staged on August 23 to 25, 2023 at our usual rendezvous, the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila. Once again, this three-day event will be a mix of academically enriching and fun-filled activities.

The Scientific Committee has assembled a vast array of lectures covering the entire gamut of blood banking and transfusion medicine topics. These will be presented in various fora like plenary lectures, panel discussions, and interactive sessions. Our industry partners will have their product presentations to update us on technological innovations and recent advancements in the field of blood banking. The presenters will be local and international speakers who are experts in their specialties.

A PBCC Convention will not be complete without the signature BINGO and the always dazzling Fellowship Night. While the pandemic imposed on us to employ virtual social interactions, it has not quenched our thirst for in-person interactions with our friends and colleagues in the industry. These much-awaited face-to-face, socialization activities will be the venue to renew our ties, rekindle friendships and meet new friends.

For many years now, planning for PBCC conventions has become a part of my system, a personal matter, like belonging to a family. Hence, I am wholeheartedly reaching out to you our PBCC family to join us in the upcoming 39th PBCC Annual Convention. Together with the entire Organizing Committee, we look forward to seeing you all.

Dios mabalos!

Antonio "Sonny" Domasian, RMT
PBCC President
